I am a qualified Posture Alignment Specialist based in Tattenhall, Cheshire. I offer face to face and online video appointments via Skype or Zoom. I found the Egoscue method in my search of alleviating my own neck, shoulder and wrist pain. I was amazed and so pleased with the results I decided to undertake the Egoscue Method course and gained the qualification in 2019. ABOUT POSTURE ALIGNMENT THERAPY
Using the Egoscue Method, Posture Alignment Therapy is designed to restore balance to your body, relieve chronic pain, and improve performance. When the body does not move enough, the resulting muscular imbalances and compensations can lead to abnormal wear and tear, joint degeneration and pain. Improving your posture can increase energy, maximise your mental and physical capabilities and protect you against future dysfunctions.
At my first consultation Liz explained the Egoscue approach and it appealed to me so much as it didn’t focus on what you thought was your problem area but looked at your body as a whole and looked for other causes for the pain.
Liz is very professional and approachable and has a welcoming and warm set up, I feel comfortable when in Liz’s company and discussing my body concerns. Liz demonstrates the exercises she has personally selected for your concerns and watches to ensure I am doing them correctly and that they aren’t causing any discomfort. At the start of my visits there were some exercises I was unable to do without any additional pain, Liz picked up on this and amended my programme to find something more suitable. Having done the exercises daily I am able to notice a difference in day to day discomfort and my ability to do some of the more challenging exercises.
Liz is approachable and willing to help and provide advice, even outside of a scheduled appointment. I like the fact Liz uses photographs and her Egoscue software to demonstrate how my posture should be and has highlight the areas that need improvement. Previously when I thought about posture, I thought it just involved standing up straight but there is so much more to it.
I would highly recommend vising Liz if you have any concerns or aches/pains, although you may think it is back pain she will be able to access you and could actually pin point the pain to a different root. I am looking forward to continuing my sessions and achieving my perfectly aligned body.
